Wet Bulb Temperature reflects the lowest temp air can reach by evaporating water. It combines heat + humidity into a single safety metric—when humidity is high, sweat can’t evaporate, so the body struggles to cool.
AQI (Air Quality Index) converts pollutant levels into a 0–500 scale (lower is better): 0–50 Good, 51–100 Moderate, 101–150 Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, 151–200 Unhealthy, 201–300 Very Unhealthy, 301–500 Hazardous.
Pollutant shows which pollutant is driving the AQI right now (e.g., O3, PM2.5, PM10). Examples:
• O3 = Ozone (forms in sunlight; often higher in afternoons)
• PM2.5 = Fine particles ≤2.5μm (smoke, combustion; can penetrate deep in lungs)
• PM10 = Coarse particles (dust)
• NO2 = Nitrogen Dioxide; SO2 = Sulfur Dioxide; CO = Carbon Monoxide
